1. You have changed the name shown in “Owner Name” on your phone.

The Aton Connect registration code compares the “Owner Name” field on the phone with the name you gave us when you purchased your license. The algorithm is case sensitive and also sensitive to extra spaces in front, in the middle or behind the name. Check that the spelling is exactly the same and there are no extra spaces.

2. You downloaded the latest version of Aton Connect from our website, but the registration code for an earlier version of our product won’t work.

We change the security algorithm in our software periodically to control piracy and protect our customers. Pirated software often contains viruses and trojans which can steal your financial information or harm your devices. The latest change occurred on February 26, 2010.

If you would like to use the most recent update, you will need a new registration code to unlock the latest version of Aton Connect. Please contact us using the form below this post and include your purchase information if you have it. (Don’t worry if your purchase information is not available, we’ll look it up in our records.) We will send you a new code.

If you downloaded your copy of Aton Connect from Windows Marketplace for Mobile, you did not receive a registration code from us. Microsoft uses a different security method. You will receive a notice from Microsoft that an update is available for you and be able to download it directly to your phone.

We no longer use Handango or PocketGear to distribute our software.

Trial copies of Aton Connect for 3270 and 5250 and Aton Connect for SSH, VT220, Telnet are available on the Aton website, through ShareIt.com and Share*It! affiliated sites, and through MobiHand.com and MobiHand affiliated sites. OTA (download directly into your phone) trial copies are available on Aton’s website via email and at MobiHand.com via SMS and email. Trial copies are not available on Windows Marketplace for Mobile.
