Our History
Established in California in 1981, we shipped our first product, a personal computer operating system, that same year.
Since personal computers were a relatively new phenomenon, we were often called upon by our customers to provide consulting and training in the use of a PC for doing business electronically, along with the use of operating systems and data communications. Our customers were located in the USA and internationally.
Our first embedded system product was developed in 1984.
As Windows became a major operating system, we expanded into desktop applications which evolved to client/server networks.
Our expertise continued to grow from Windows 9x to Windows NT to Windows 2000 to Windows XP and Windows XP Embedded. We entered the Internet arena in 1994 and expanded into Web server applications in 1996. Aton entered the mobile arena in 2001, offering our first Pocket PC software in 2002. We became a Microsoft Certified Partner in 2003.
